same problem i had my self ...after the problem wiht the antivirus AVG that i couldnt instal splitcam , after i instaled AVIRA a/v no problem with instalation or operating the splitcam ...just that after every time i used splitcam when i was restarting the laptop i got bluescreen , in sistem manager didnt got any mesages regarding this error or what was causing it , and the splitcam didnt apeard in my device manager either as virtual device ...i only got the bluescreen only when i was using splitcam and restart or shutdown , prob a windows 7 driver or something isnt compatible with splitcam or something i dont know ...i used windows 7 home premium 64 , now i instaled windows xp again and i use the older slitcam softwear but no bluescreen when i restart or shutdown so a device error or incompatibility is not the cause ..i think ...all the best and hopefuly some one will find out the bug and fix it soon Smile

Hello

Thanks for SplitCam5 beta testing! Today I have news for you.

1. SplitCam beta version is updated. Please download it http://www.splitcamera.com/SplitCam5206beta.exe
2. We decided to try fixing problems with AVG on our side so we changed some SplitCam behavior and now AVG should not detect SplitCam as a virus. Please download our new beta and check this.
3. We changed few things that could cause Blue Screen errors on Windows 7. However it’s possible that the problem still exists. Please inform us if you still have Blue Screen restarting Windows 7. In case of blue screen please provide us with dump file where error details are listed. Usually you can find the dump file in C:\WINDOWS\Minidump folder.
4. In some cases on Windows 7 during SplitCam installation actskn43.ocx self registration error can appear. Please live this error out of account. If actskn43.ocx self registration was unsuccessful, SplitCam will register actskn43.ocx in a different way. In both cases SplitCam will work properly. We’ll try to fix this inconvenient.

It works perfect, that one error (actskn43.ocx self registration error) pops up, but just click ok and it will install.

Dont know about the blue screens, never had any so I cant comment on that.

Howdy, I just installed beta 5.2.0.2 on my XP Pro SP3 system. the program itself seems to work fine, but if I try to load any effects (face, flag, etc) I get a crash in cxcore110.dll. if I try and load any of the line effects I get a crash in cv110.dll. The two color effects and the gradient effects work fine.

Thanks for your feedback. Please make screenshots of error messages and write actions that caused the errors. Send me this info to e-mail or just write here.

hey again guys ...so the AVG problem was solved?? as the last time the AVG saw splitcam as a threat virus and couldnt instal it ???? all working now with AVG or stil the problem persists?? thx

We had not messages about problems with AVG during last few weeks. We hope it really solved.

you do not need open dump file. Just send it. Dump file should be sent shortly after blue screen appearing.

hey i just sent an emial to support@splitcam.com ...i send u the dmp files ,so hope it will help u with the bluescreen error ..all the best

hello , just found a softwear that works like splitcamera and works on windows 7 64x as well ..and works really well ..no erorrs or bluescreen , but got with AVIRA antivirus with this softwear as well an virus alert liek splitcam ,,,treat the soft as a virus ...the soft is caled webcamsplitter or webcamsplitter pro its from very-soft.....u can download it for free and analyze it ot see how they managed to make it work with wind 7 64x ...but is not for free it cost 19 $ or 39 $ for the pro softwear but it works as a unregistred version as well ...dont knwo if i should link the site here but u can google it and find it if u dont know it already ..hope this will help u guys in the search of fixing the bugs in wind 7 Rolling Eyes Wink ..all the best

I received your mail with dumps. We'll try to fix this.
Of course we have competitors. I will not del your post about another program that costs cost $19 or $39 like many software developers do on their sites. Competition is normal thing. I just want remind that SplitCam is freeware Smile

Instaled splitcam 5.2 on my acer aspire 7736zg with windows7 64 bit,
but it seys this device not suportet.
Can you something about this?

I can say very little about this. Additional info is needed.
Was SplitCam install successful?
Does your webcam work correct without splitcam?

Please describe the problem in more details and show me screenshots of it.

Camera work's fine without splitcam.
Latest accer driver installed.
Splitcam installed with error in video driver instalation.
