Hi Splitcam team...
If people want great security, then the use of splitcam along side of yawcam is great. Yawcam uses the Java platform and it functions as a motion detector, http still cam pictures, ftp still cam pictures and motion send, file maker and more.
Whilst I have yawcam, watching over my property, I can record with Virtualdub at the same time, have skype cam running and so on...
If people want to cam with friends, on something like skype, yahoo, msn or all of the above, etc, while yawcam watches over things in the background, or streams video over the internet (password protected if required) then split cam and yawcam together, with what ever chat program you use, go very well!
You can use splitcam to switch between the two cameras. (More if you have them.) While I am using the property cam, I switch motion on in yawcam, then switch it off, when I switch back to home cam.
It's a neat idea indeed.
Perhaps a way to have the two cams at the same time in different windows would be nice. Or even an auto switch between them, that cycles through cams every 30 secs. That'd be cool.
Other than that. Split cam is great!
Cheers. _________________ Crabby --- |
