Hello,

Thank you, for the fix with the 3.27 beta, it has solved the problem and I am able to capture video in splitcam using my winnov 1000 capture card. I was talking with winnov on this issue also, but they were unable to figure out the problem.
I have another issue now, when I try to open "video config" in splitcam to adjust color settings, splitcam freezes and I get the standard "microsoft" dont send error message and splitcam closes. I know the 3.27 is beta and hopfully this is just somthing that will be worked out.
For now I am able to open winnov's capture video and adjust colors settings that way, then just close and open splitcam to use for my other apps.

I really appreciate you guys fixing the error 0x80004005
Thank you

I was seeing a similar problem with v3.26, using the STMicroelectronics WDM drivers (dated 2002) for a l'espion digital camera (the very small pocket cam).

Updated to the v3.27 beta and now, instead of the black-screen and related error dialog, we now see:

"SetDevice: RenderStream() failed with error cide 0x80070057"

I should add that the camera/drivers work fine with amcap.exe.

This seems to be related to the auto-configuration of image dimensions that SplitCam now does, as the older version that allowed manual selection worked fine with this camera and driver set.

Also, I've noticed that SC lists both the WDM and VfW device names. Where a device provides both, then SC lists that device twice as a source, but so far my experience is that trying to use the Vfw drivers causes SC to freeze/crash.

Can I suggest that where a device is listed twice because it has WDM and VfW drivers, you add "(WDM)" or "(VfW)" to the name to help in choosing the correct driver?

With the beta I'm seeing a lot of GPF's on XP Pro SP2 when an application taking a feed from SplitCamera is temporarily busy, or disconnects/connects from the WDM driver.

It doesn't happen every time, but usually the first time or two Splitcam is run these kind of crashes will happen, then it 'settles down'.

I get an access violation (probably) - The instruction at "0x00414cac" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
I get this when clicking on main menu - File - Video config... I'm using Softcam 1.52

For all who using SplitCam and have problem with SetDevice:renderstream ....
It is very simple answer for this problem - in isn't same which program you start
first. For example: a have a digital camera and i want to use it as webcamera so as first a have to start software for camrera and there a choose Remote shooting. then I set on my camera photo/video out and connect it with my TV card by composite cable. But before I start TV tuner program [WinFast PVR]
I have to start SplitCam. and then everything other. And in a communcation program [ Skype] a set webcamera to SplitCam Capture. Everything run
so remember !!!! IT ISN'T SAME WHICH PROGRAM YOU START FIRST !!!!

I have the new version, but I still get this error when trying to open certain avi files (even though I can open them in winamp and I can open other avi files in that set, which have the same resolution, in splitcam):

FAILED(hr=0x80040217) in m_pGraph->Connect(pSourcePin, pGrabPin)
